Flamingo Family

Flamingos are one of my favorite birds, with their bright color, long legs, and funky beaks.

The funny thing is that this picture came VERY close to getting chucked out because the fabric I chose for the palm leaves started to fray before I had even finished cutting it. (Wouldn't have been the first time I'd tossed a picture, haha. You can read about the time I almost tossed the second fabric picture I ever created here.)

I changed my mind about scrapping the entire project when I realized that the frays actually enhance the palm leaves and give them a rougher, more jagged look.
