Pelican in Paradise

Pelicans are my dad's favorite bird, so this was a gift for him for Father's Day in 2006.

At the time I made this picture, it was the most complicated one I'd ever attempted. I didn't have the benefit of a computer, so my template was hand-drawn and all the colors imagined in my head. I had no idea how it would turn out until I finally started assembling it.
