2018 - Today

I am a giant nerd. I was the kid drawing dragons in a sketchbook at the lunch table during high school. I was Main Tank for a World of Warcraft guild for several years, and one of my first dates with my husband — back when we were in high school — was teaching him how to play Magic: The Gathering. Video games kept us together for four years when we attended different colleges.

As an artist, I can't help but want to put my own creative twist on the pop cultural icons that I enjoy so much. It's not something I do often, as there are limitations to exhibiting these works in the quilt world due to copyright concerns. But games, movies, and shows will continue to be a big part of my life, so I forsee many more fan art quilts in my future.
