My Friend and the Setting Sun is named for the song that plays during this scene in the video game Kirby Super Star. This is the last scene in the entire game. Kirby, controlled by the player, escaped The Halberd — the ship silhouetted by the sun — and now watches it crash into the ocean. Roll credits.

Another birthday gift for my husband, this quilt now hangs in his office next to Mine Cart Madness and Link Meets the Deku Tree. It's my unofficial interpretation of the scene.
